In Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin accepts cryptocurrency as a form of payment.
Vladimir Putin endorsed cryptocurrencies, which are being studied by regulators throughout the world because of worries that they could be used for money laundering and criminal activity.
According to Putin, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies “has the right to exist and can be used as a means of payment” in an interview with CNBC.
He did say, though, that it was too early to talk about using digital currencies to trade oil and other commodities, which make up the majority of Russia’s exports.
